Writing Conferences

I’ve been attending writing conferences for over twenty years now, and unfortunately, many leave me wishing I had stayed at home to write.  But this weekend’s conference at the Sophia Institute in Charleston, SC, was a definite winner.

Award winning writers Josephine Humphreys and Mary Alice Monroe provided in-depth talks on Creativity, Soul, and Survival, followed by practical advise on living the writing life and story structure.  I will be posting more detail from these later, but for now, if you haven’t read books by either of these authors, check them out.  Fabulous!  And if you write and live near enough to Charleston, check out The Sophia Institute <info@thesophiainstitute.org>Sophia Institute for other prime conferences. There are programs offered most all the time as well as leads to other writing conferences. You won’t come home empty handed or empty “headed,” I assure you.  🙂
